CONGRATULATIONS to Michigan State who won Grand Champions of the Club 10 Invitational. Skip to scores

The four women's competitive cheer club teams met in Columbus on January 29th for the 2nd edition of the competition. The rainbow of colors from the 4 teams during the introductions was a great start to the day.

There are three separate competitions during the day. Each team competed in the Tumbling, Stunting and Team Routine competitions. Each team had 3 entries in Stunts and Tumbling. The top 5 places were awarded and 1-4 for the team routine. All the scores for the 3 separate competitions were added up to get a team's score. This score determined the Grand Champion.

The first competition was the Tumbling competition. The high score for the day went to an athlete from Illinois followed by 2 and 3 place to OSU tumblers with Michigan State and a third Ohio State athlete rounding out the top 5. This put Ohio State in first place at this point in the Grand Champion standings.

The Stunt competition was the next competition. There were great routines from the 4 teams. Things were tight with nearly every stunt group hitting their routine. Again, Illinois took the top spot, then MSU, OSU a second OSU group and PSU's group in the top 5. The strong placing for Ohio State kept them in first place in the Grand Champion Standings. Illinois was clinging to 2nd with Michigan State and Penn State right behind.

The Team Routine competition was exciting. Each team had strong points in their routine and elements that wowed the crowd. When the music stopped, it was all Michigan State running away with the team competition followed by Illinois, OSU and PSU. This was reflective of the final Grand Champion standings. Michigan State jumped from 3rd to 1st and won Grand Champion. Illinois remained in 2nd while OSU dropped to 3rd and PSU was fourth.
