Team Falls Short at COA

The team had one of their stronger performances of the year at the COA Midwest Open this past weekend. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to top a simpler, cleaner Univ. of Illinois team. The Buckeyes had beat Illinois earlier this season at the team's inaugural invitational in January.

After a short practice week, the Bucks made no excuses and were ready to go on Saturday. With an air of home turf motivation, it seemed like it would be a good day for the team. After a sound warm up, most of it translated into good performance. However, a dropped stunt and a few tumbling mistakes were the culprits that held the team back. Only six hundredths of a point difference put the Buckeyes in a disappointing second place.

As the seasons rolls over the top and downhill towards NCA College Nationals, the team will prepare for American CheerPower Nationals here in columbus March 27-29 at the Convention Center. The routine will be the adapted version of the routine that will be competed at NCA. You can also catch the Bucks in action at our dress rehearsal event in April leading up to the trip to Daytona.
